About the studio
Built on experience across technology, people and operations.
Midhana is a small UK software studio founded by husband and wife Shazaib Ahmad and Shazana Aftab. Between us, we bring experience across multiple domains, from technology and property to care, psychology and operational roles.
Shazaib holds a BSc and MSc in Computer Science from Cardiff University and has close to a decade of experience in software engineering, having built and operated software across insurance, AI, film studios, blockchain, sensor technology, ecommerce and data analytics, including systems used by enterprise customers.
Shazana holds a BSc in Psychology from Plymouth University and has worked across psychology, care, administration, accounting and SEN support. Her experience working closely with people and organisations has given her first hand insight into the everyday problems that often go unnoticed.
We started Midhana because we want to use our experience to solve real problems for businesses and the people within them. We take the time to understand how people actually work before building anything, with the aim of reducing unnecessary operational work and using technology where it can genuinely make things better.
